Helping People Heal, Connect
and Change
I’m Mark McGonigle, a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in private practice in Kansas City, Missouri. I work with individuals and couples, helping them navigate trauma, emotional distress, and relationship challenges with clarity, compassion, and practical tools for change.
My clinical approach integrates evidence-based methods including EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and research-informed couples therapy. I’m particularly interested in helping people recognize and shift entrenched patterns that interfere with connection, resilience, and well-being.
In addition to my clinical training, I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Spirituality, which informs how I thoughtfully and respectfully address questions of meaning, values, and inner experience in my work. I emphasize collaboration, curiosity, and helping people access their own strengths and insight.
As a speaker, I focus on making complex psychological ideas accessible and engaging. My talks combine clinical expertise with real-world examples, offering depth, clarity, and practical takeaways audiences can apply in both their professional and personal lives.
I can help work-teams that might be based in businesses, schools, churches or non-profits deepen their cooperative connection. I can accompany work-teams over time to set goals for valuable change and synergistic performance, or offer a retreat experience uniquely tailored to your team's setting and mission.
